Attorney – CCR Law Firm, Little Rock
A native Arkansan, Matthew French grew up outside the small town of Moro in the Arkansas Delta. Though their family had little, Matthew’s mother worked three jobs to make sure they had everything they needed. His mother instilled in him a positive work ethic and a drive to help others. After graduating from Brinkley High School, Matthew attended the University of Central Arkansas double-majoring in History and Political Science. Following graduation, Matthew started his first career as an educator teaching disadvantaged youth at Ouachita Job Corps in Royal, Arkansas and at Hot Springs Middle School. While continuing to teach, Matthew went back to school to earn his law degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. While a student, Matthew earned five “Top Paper” awards and graduated Cum Laude.
Matthew has a passion for helping families and children, which has led him to handling domestic relations cases, such as divorces, child custody, and child support disputes. Matthew understands the many family dynamics that can lead to the need for legal assistance. Like many in Arkansas, Matthew grew up in a home touched by the tragedy of drug use and domestic abuse. He appreciates the myriad of reasons that may call for the end of a marriage. Matthew provides his clients not only with legal counsel and fierce advocacy, but also support during a deeply difficult time in a person’s life.
The many areas of the law are often interconnected. Matthew works with individuals and families with estate planning to plan for the future and protect valuable assets. Matthew handles some criminal defense matters including DWI and drug possession charges. Matthew also has experience representing clients through the often-complicated issues surrounding personal injury, and ensures that his clients receive what is owed to them for their losses.
Matthew is driven by a passion for helping others, and he is happy to speak with anyone about their case to see if he can provide assistance.
